The "shawess-lamp" the Shabbat lamp

Shabbat begins on Friday evening, one hour before dark. The six-branch "shawess-lamp" floods the house with light and will burn until the oil runs out. The father and the grandfather bless the children before savoring, all together, the delicious dishes. The master of the house makes "kedish", blessing on the wine and "mautze", the blessing on the bread.
